Robinhood Chain Validators & Sequencing
How Robinhood Chain orders transactions, validates state, resolves disputes, and governs emergency upgrades.
Three different network roles
“Validator” is often used broadly, but Robinhood Chain’s sequencer, BoLD validators, and Security Council have different responsibilities.
Sequencer
Orders transactions on a first-come, first-served basis and publishes the resulting chain data. Robinhood’s terms state that Robinhood operates a sequencer node.
BoLD validators
Monitor state assertions and can challenge an invalid assertion through Arbitrum’s permissionless BoLD dispute system.
Security Council
Controls protocol upgrades and can respond to emergencies through an eight-member multisig council described in the governance documentation.
Who validates Robinhood Chain?
Robinhood’s governance documentation currently lists two validators operated by Offchain Labs and Alchemy. Because BoLD validation is permissionless, the active validator set can evolve independently of this page.
Addresses displayed as a block’s validator or miner in an explorer are on-chain identifiers. They should not be attributed to an organization unless that attribution is independently verified.
Security Council
The official governance page names BitGo, Chainlink Labs, Fireblocks, Offchain Labs, Paxos, two Robinhood signers, and Talos as the eight Security Council signers. This council is a governance and emergency-upgrade body; it is not the same thing as the transaction sequencer or the permissionless validator role.
What Robinscanner can verify
Robinscanner shows public block producers, timestamps, transactions, gas use, and canonical-chain status from network data. It does not infer an operator’s identity from an address alone and is not itself a validator, sequencer, or governance participant.
Official sources
Role and operator details are sourced from Robinhood Chain’s Governance ↗, network overview ↗, and Terms of Service ↗. The official pages remain authoritative if the validator or council composition changes.
